Thymiopoulos
The Thymiopoulos family has owned vineyards in Naoussa for several generations. Apostolos Thymiopoulos returned to his family’s vineyards after graduation and began producing wine for his own label, Thymiopoulos Vineyards.
While also becoming the first Certified Biodynamic winery in the region, as he replanted vines adding several hectares to the family’s estate. Earth & Sky is similar in style to a modern Barolo, powerful and concentrated ripe fruit aroma with balanced acidity and tannins. Two other Xinomavro wines have been added to the estates production showing the diversity in this grape, from its youthful stage to the more mature vines.
In 2015 Apostolos added two white wines to his portfolio under the ATMA label, showing his expansion into white wine production from vines on his estate and introducing a blanc de noir xinomavro wine.
