Comte Henry d’Assay
Henry d'Assay knows Sauvignon Blanc inside and out. His family has run the well-known Château Tracy in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation for many years. He himself was the director for 20 years. So, when he and his wife Corinne decided to start their own small négociant business, in 2016, it seemed natural to concentrate on that grape.
Relationships are the heart of the project. Given his background, Henri is a well-known personality, famous among the growers. When he chooses to collaborate with growers, he looks for those that are quality-conscious growers. Whether silex and limestone in Pouilly Fume, sandy soil mixed with clay in Touraine, or flint, clay and limestone in Giennois, terroir is always at the forefront.
