Bura-Mrgudić
Niko Bura was one of the top wineries in the area and was working naturally for many years. He pushed that mentality and thinking into the next generation as Niko’s niece Marija (Mare) Mrgudić has taken over. She expresses Peljesac Peninsula and Southern Dalmatia in a lighter, fresher style. Their vineyards are in Dingac and Postup and farm organically and dry farm. Dingac is "THE" growing region for Plavac Mali. Only 65 HA total can be called Dingac. Like the neighboring Postup region, the land is very rugged karst, rocky with little topsoil. The Bura family has one of the longest traditions of winemaking in Dingač and Croatia as a whole, spanning over sixteen generations -- since the year 1410!
